The Perfect Cadence, in collaboration with Muse Coffee Studio, will be hosting the Inspired By: YOU Fest! on September 10th, 2023 at Douglass Park.
The festival will be a day filled with music, family-friendly events, and an opportunity to engage with artists and local vendors.

Back to School Supply and Shoe Giveaway

TPC 5K 2021!
This year’s #TPC5K was a success - and as usual, it was all because of you! We would like to thank you for all of your support throughout the years. Your generosity, your donations, your prayers, your constant words of encouragement…they allow us to do the work. We are grateful for you all.
Register to move with us! Our 2021 #TPC5K is here. Like last year, this 5K served as our fundraiser for the year and an opportunity to grab some family or a few friends and move around for a good cause.

The Perfect Cadence is partnering with Kido to send supplies down to Texas, working with folks on the ground in Del Rio and Houston, which is where a lot of buses with Haition families are arriving.
We are asking for donations of ONLY these items:
Diapers (sizes 2 to 6)
Wipes
Tampons
Pads
You can drop off unopened boxes/bags of these items to Kido Chicago (1137 S. Delano Ct.) or Muse Coffee Studio (747 S. Western Ave.) Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
Back to School Backpack Giveaway Recap!
It was an honor teaming up with The Negrow League brand and the SoulWonderful Collective for this Back to School Backpack Giveaway. We were able to get backpacks, school essentials, and baby items to the community just in time for the new school year!

Cadence Day Back to School Backpack Giveaway!
As the Summer comes to an end and the school year begins, we are celebrating Cadence Day by teaming up with @negrowleague , @frenchkiss_couture and @musecoffeestudio for a Back to School Backpack Giveaway.
Each backpack is valued at $25 and will be filled with a notebook, folders, paper, a pencil case (with pencils, colored pencils, glue stick, erasers), hand sanitizer, and kleenex. If you would like to sponsor a bag, you can do so from the link below. We will be matching the first 20 sponsored bookbags!
The backpack giveaway will take place on Sunday, August 29th at Muse Coffee Studio (747 S. Western Ave) from noon until 3p. Backpacks will be available on a first come, first serve basis and will be available to anyone in need.

Because, Love… Pop-up Shop - 2021
It’s been far too long, but we’re back! Excited to announce our next “Because, Love” Pop-up Shop. Join us on May 23rd from 2p-4p at Muse Coffee Studio (747 S. Western Ave.) and shop new and gently lover baby clothes, furniture, and accessories - all available for free!
Masks and social distancing are required.
The Perfect Cadence Virtual 5K
The Perfect Cadence turns 5 this year!
(Yay!!)
And to celebrate our 5th year, we are hosting a virtual 5K. What is a virtual 5K, you ask? It’s a bit of a rainbow in the storm that has been COVID-19, which has made it impossible for the usual race season to commence as it normally would. It’s an opportunity for our village outside of our home base of Chicago to participate in this love fest! Register here and run or walk any time between October 9th and 13th. You can run or walk when and where you love and share your victory photos using #TPC5K. We look forward to 5K’ing with you all!
COVID-19 Relief
In March of 2020, everybody’s normal changed. Schools closed, retail stores closed, a lot of places were forced to let workers go, and most of the nation were ordered to shelter in place. As a result, some families were put in a position where they didn’t have the resources or ability to get essential items for their babies. In an effort to help provide some relief, we reached out to those in need. Because of your support, we were able to assist over 40 families with baby essentials. Thank you!
2019 Group Shower
On July 28th, we hosted our annual TPC Group Shower at the Garfield Park Conservatory! There was food, cake, gifts, and a whole lot of love - thanks to you and your support.
Because, Love Pop-up Shop - May 2019
On May 31st, we hosted our first pop-up shop of 2019. Because of your support and donations, we were able to offer clothes, furniture, toys, and other needed items - all for free!
We’d like to thank For Your Consciousness Ministry for welcoming TPC and allowing us to set up during their food pantry hours. We were able to meet and help so many families and we are grateful for the opportunity!
TPC in the Community
Our primary goal is to spread love - so when the community calls, we answer! With your support (and donations) we were able to deliver car loads of items to families in need.
Citywide Group Shower - Garfield Conservatory
On August 28th, we hosted our first citywide group baby shower. We were honored to host 5 families as they welcomed their new bundles of joy. Because of your support, we were able to provide key essentials, family portraits, catered lunch (and some extra love) to these families and babies!
Giving Tuesday is the perfect opportunity for you to support your favorite organizations, charities, or groups of people who are making efforts to create a better world.
Whether it’s supporting The Perfect Cadence’s initiatives here or another organization’s mission, find a cause that means something to you and spread love!

Saturday, March 31st, meet us at En Las Tablas Performing Arts (4111 N. Armitage Ave) for the Because, Love... pop-up shop. We will have baby clothing, shoes, furniture, and accessories available for FREE! The event starts at noon and will go until 3pm.

Our 3rd annual Rhythm & Brews fundraiser is fast-approaching and we're super excited! On Monday, October 9th, we'll be back at Vice District Brewing Co. for great food, great beer, and great vibes.

Our 2nd Group Shower with New Moms, Inc.
On Thursday, September 14th, The Perfect Cadence had the opportunity (and the pleasure) to host several moms as they wrapped up their prenatal classes with New Moms, Inc. We, along with our friends from Mama Fresh Chicago and The Mommy Break Project, showered these awesome parents-to-be with some new baby essentials, gift cards so they could purchase a few things once baby comes, and cake (because what's a baby shower without cake?!).

We've been off doing a little planning for 2017 and we're excited about what's to come!
We'll be hosting our first shower of the year in March. If you or someone you know is expecting and in need of a shower, please submit an application any time between now and February 10th. We will select and notify the shower recipient by February 17th.

It's Our Anniversary!
A year ago today we launched The Perfect Cadence. Thanks to your help and support, we have been able to accomplish so much this year!
We have thrown baby showers for seven new moms, hosted a free pop up shop where moms came and "shopped" for awesome baby items, and we have gifted over 10 moms with new baby welcome kits and other new baby essentials. We also welcomed Cadence's little brother last year and we are witnessing first hand the joy he brings to the world. Indeed, it has been a full (and fulfilling!) year.
We couldn't let the day go by without saying thank you!

Group shower with New Moms, Inc.
We had the pleasure of collaborating with New Moms, Inc. to host our first group shower. TPC and our team of volunteers had the opportunity to hang out with 4 awesome expecting moms and shower them, and their babies, with a little love.

Thanks to University Church for hosting us and our "Because, Love..." Pop-up Shop on Saturday, May 21st. We had such an amazing time with everything. Thanks to our volunteers, those that donated, those that shared the posts and help to spread the word, and to those who were able to come find some things they needed!
